On 5 November 2024, OSSHD Tigray joined a collaborative effort with UN agencies, INGOs, and LNGOs to support the harvest of crops for vulnerable households in Mesebo, located on the outskirts of Mekelle. The initiative was organized by RDRMC in response to the risks posed by unseasonal rainfall, which threatened to damage crops in the area.
The teams, including OSSHD staff, worked together throughout the day to assist in harvesting crops for households in need.
This effort demonstrated the power of partnership in addressing critical needs and showcased OSSHD’s ongoing commitment to supporting vulnerable communities in Tigray. Local residents expressed their gratitude for the assistance, which played a crucial role in safeguarding their livelihoods.
OSSHD remains dedicated to working alongside with partners to provide sustainable solutions and continue its support for vulnerable populations in the region.
